Seattle 2004 Summary

An excellent venue and preparation at Seattle culminated with Ethio-Maryland winning the championship on the last day July 3rd, 2004. The runner up Minnesota gave a good fight but could not score, losing 0 - 2 to Maryland.

In the second division Denver won over Ohio 3 - 0, Denver's goalie Tadesse Gebreyes a former professional player from Saint George team based in Ethiopia was a deciding factor in shutting out Ohio.

Seattle 2004, started the new level of excellence that carried over to Atlanta 2005 and Los Angeles 2006 is working hard for. Seattle's venue "Seahawks Stadium", Seattle Mayor addressing ESFNA attendees set the level of ESFNA as a major event that cities vie to host.

Guests of honor were Ato Alemayehu H/Sellassie; Ato Abdurahman Dire, Ms Ethiopia - Hayat Ahmed.

ESFNA's honorary president Ato Berhanu W/Mariam and Ethiopian Airlines's Tewolde GebreMariam.
